The places where we photograph are, so often, places we have never stepped on before and this surprise of the unknown feels good, it forces us to explore and to be creative without any reference.

In this place we have combined ruins, the sea, the incredible view to Berlengas, the end-of-day light that graces the stories and makes everything even more magical and special.
All lined up for an incredible session!
And even the wind, misaligning the hair, filled the session with motion in her flying free gown, forcing longest and tightest hugs to blow away the cold.
After this session we looked forward for the big day.
We always want more because a good story never ends in only one chapter!

Word of mouth continues to be one of the best and most effective ways to promote and market any job.
It is always easier to trust the friendly word of friends or of people who have experienced the unknown that we are about to experience.

That's how this story came to us!
I remember the rainy day when it entered our atelier, heated by the force of many watts, to never leave again, and turned that gray and cold day into a guaranteed promise of a better day. And it was.

Days are added at the mismatch of a too fast clock.
Yesterday was summer, today the cold wakes us up for a January in full, a new year that already seems so long and stories, so many stories.

Memory brings us an afternoon of gale and the imminent danger of a canceled session, but even more clearly the courage to break wind and rain and to keep forever a belly full of life, warm and cozy, where the disarray of our hair agitated by the cold wind did not make itself felt.
Suddenly it was already christmas and the best of all the gifts. A tiny baby in people size, big in the love she planted around her.
But the clock hands threw us, with no pity, for the celebration of the first year of life.

The truth is that we changed the year in the expectation of a number one full of news and we got there and everything was the same.
Sometimes everything doesn't change just because of the will to change or because of the bad taste of the twelve raisins badly swallowed by obligation, consigning to oblivion the wishes that remained to be wished.

Places.
A world of unbelievable places around the world, some are secret, inaccessible, others fallen into oblivion, but all of them begging for a good story.

Places matter.
They are the stage and scenery of all stories, they provide us adventure and discovery, or just quietness and inspiration.

The end of the year was super busy around here.
We always think that this will be the quietest time, which will give us all the time we need for reflection and organization, but life goes around in it's own way and wanted these days to be like this, full of good moments and stories to tell. Lucky us!

At Christmas time so many people took the opportunity to come visit Lisbon, to get to know our beautiful city, so many others in town took the advantage of the family vacations to do a photo shoot, that was always with a smile that we faced the cold to meet another good story.

2017 arrived, full of confettis, pots knocked by the windows and many traditions like the incredible raisins that, swallowed with so much sacrifice, made me forget to ask for my wishes.

But if we repeat things from one year to another do they become tradition?
For me, yes indeed!

On new year's day we decided to repeat what we had done the year before: to receive the new year by the table, all together, with a brunch that would give us the warmth to our stomach and soul, but without going on with all the nonsense already ate throughout the festive season (yes, no one ate only lettuce these days!).

For so long we wanted to show this images of such a special day that, even today, each memory brings to the skin the shiver of every experienced emotion.

We don't know exactly when it all began, but we know it made even more sense when we were all together, gathered to celebrate this story: Filipa and Jorge, and an unique marriage.
We know that the way to this day wasn't a straight forward path with an anticipated end, life and its endless and incomprehensible twists often surprising us in the worst possible way.
But at a difficult stage and with a loss that was not part of the story that we dreamed to tell with an happy beginning, middle and end, Filipa and Jorge responded in the most courageous way we could expect: with love!

A wedding proposal!

How many are left untold, without record, with nothing to transport you in time to that day, the moment when all the nerves culminated in a question and in an answer.
And since then everything has remained equal, but nothing, has never been the same again.

Celebrate 20 years of marriage is not for everyone.
We know that in these days everything happens too quickly, too tasteless but there are still stories like this.
It's 20 years aspiring to an eternity and, the best of all, six children! And to see them all together, in the Christmas postcard we just received, is to believe with even more faith that love is still the way! What an incredible family!

After returning from a vacation with friends, nothing better than remembering a shoot with friends!

The truth is that life doesn't always place us close to those we love and although the friendship of this group is already long, life has dispersed them by incredible places that are now the place they call home.
Singapore, New York, and many other cities about which we spend our lives sighing, make a permanent physical contact impossible, so why not to choose an incredibly gorgeous city and get all together to celebrate the best they have: friendship?

On the other side of the world.

It surprises us this landscape of an incredible nature giving its best. This temperature difference that leaves the body in doubt at such a drastic change.
The sky is dark and it rains, decorated with lightning bolts drawn with light, or becomes clear in blue and sun, leaving us despairing for a cloud that saves us from the heat.
Moisture turns the air heavier, making smells more intense. It smells of green and earth.

A wedding proposal.
One of those emotional moments, that highlight forever the course of a story of two.
The expectation of a positive answer, the surprise of a question made with a startled heart and all the nerves that invade us with the responsibility of documenting such a special moment.

It's not enough to come and expect it to happen.
It's necessary to work on the preparation and planning, to choose the place and the exact positions and if all this is done with an ocean in the middle, the difficulties grow in proportion to the enthusiasm, in an exchange of words in time zones that go around the world.
A beautiful photograph is not enough. We want you to have spectacular pictures, at the level of the event and this is built up on work.

Our bride and groom continue to amaze us.
In addition to the incredible weddings that we have photographed and the wonderful stories we tell each day, there is also the creative and restless side of new ideas and projects that emerge from such a special and emotional moment.

Ana Luísa was one of our brides of this year and if we thought that her wedding day had been the highlight of the organization and good taste we were well mistaken.
Combining good taste, the will to do and, much more than the education, the talent, hand in hand with a friend who gives even more points to each one of these aspects, the INVITE - Momentos Felizes has born.

To the generosity of this autumn we say thank you with all the stories we told until the last ray of sun.
An autumn that haven't said goodbye to the summer and didn't take its the place, and the two stayed in this love affair of sunny days, mild temperatures and a light that doesn't let us stay at home.

So we began to tell this story whose preface was written long ago.
Catarina was already part of our story before this session, at a time when the ruler and the square stole our time from the photograph machine.
And life takes its turns and in its turns the reencounters surprise us, mixed with the magic hand of a best friend who provided us these moments and this session.

The proof that time passes by too quickly are the spent and exclaimed expressions when we meet (already so) our families.
When the bellies of old times run now free, play and discover he world by themselves.

We met Madalena with only ten days of life. So small she already raptured the most serious looks. If tenderness grew along with her it was certain and well-known that we would reach today with the impossibility of resisting her.
Time has passed by quickly, too quickly for what we wanted to enjoy it and if it continues so I give you the certainty of not winning my sympathy.

It is increasingly special to accept Lisbon as the stage of so many and so good stories.
It is even more special walk through the world, through places that we have never heard about, without leaving where we are.
To receive, wide open arms, the opportunity to meet people, faces, smiles and places that, even being the same, are never the same.
There is always a corner that we haven't noticed yet, a line of light that falls into a place and creates a moment that extends beyond than what we can remember.

It was June and although the hot days were around here, we headed up to Paris.
We needed to rest, to disperse our eyes for different places and unfamiliar faces. Walking aimlessly, without map or objectives only to inspire, breathe and absorb.
But life had other plans for us and, between one work and another, we had just over 24 hours to know the city.

It's that time of year apparently calmer in this social bustle, but that is one of the busiest and decisive ones at the backstage.

We conclude we photographed much, too much, and now we must catch up on the stories, the smiles.

It is an additional effort wanting to do everything well, not resting in the shade of a better job and always wanting more and more.
What remains is very little time for life, but this is the way we feel alive.

The places we don't know are added up in the faces we photographed.
There is always a pair of open arms here, waiting to welcome each and every one of the stories. No matter the place from where they come from or the landscapes in which they have lost their eyes. Whether the trip was long or the return doesn't take too long. It matters these moments, today only a handful of images, tomorrow the best of all the best memories.

This family is just a page of the story. A shoot booked to document the meeting in one only place of a family that made home all over the world... Dubai, Lebanon, Mexico... all together in Lisbon. Coming from places where we have not yet delighted ourselves! So many places.
