2016 has arrived about five days ago!
Five days that sliped from our hands at the same speed with which 2015 has escaped us.

I had to write a few times on a paper, as if to make sure of a fact, the date of 1st January. I wrote January 1st of 2016 in several ways, in numbers, in writing, to savor the round number, to ensure that I had arrived here.
That moment when you think, "Damn, yesterday was still 1992!"

I swing in the need to take stock.
It went too fast to the compass of those who want to live and savor every moment.

People succeded to people, ties, affections, smiles ... words dropped to the wind, unruly hairs in the breeze.
We felt cold and heat, fell in love again and again, vibrated with so many stories, were amazed by details for then, take a deep breath, and fall in love again.

They said it was going to rain.
The sky was painted black, finally wearing the colors of a delayed autumn.
The wind blew strong, sweeping the few already fallen leaves and giving off many others.
But, yet, we took the risk. We believed that the rain would make a moment of waiting and would give us this window of chance to tell Mariana's story.

She gave us the challenge as an anchor, holding us on to dreams, and did not let us go away.

Between always so crowded photo shoots, filled with bustle and games, it tastes so good when the rhythm is broken and the boat starts moving to calmer seas, so rarely sailed.
We reinvent ourselves, we take a deep breath and put all of us in that moment, feeling the sea and salt in the face and in the spine the shiver of adventure.

The dilemma of a blank page.
The contrast between words that do not arrive and the amount of images that inundate us.

They reached us by the hand of no one and it was different, always different.
Neither better nor worse, or one way or another, just different.
A kind of popcorn and peanut butter ice cream, for the most greedy ones.

How many of us remember the day we celebrated the first year of life?
Time passes and the memories become distant, blurry, some details are lost in the curves of the way.

Maria Cereja will keep from this day the best memories!
Family members and friends who played with her, the many laps that served her as a shelter, the smiles, the jokes.
The parents' dedication in making a so special day, the details, every aspect thought out with care and affection of who sees a life growing beyond their own lives.

It rains, it doesn't rain, it rains.
We oscillate between a kind of off-season spring and an autumn that does not go unnoticed.
But on this day we were surprised by an almost-summer in light, color and temperature.

The day dawned surrendered to the sun and a blue sky, immersed in the excitement of telling a new story by the hand of a family that we already knew and from whom we are eternally wistful.

At Jeronimos we felt like tourists with photographic machines in hands and we do believe that many other memories of this day will have been registered by other unrelated eyes, appearing in holiday albums.

Step by step we climb, without major stumbling, the ladder of life towards somewhere.
At every step of the story, at every stone of the way a new perspective and the opportunity to perch and shoot higher, because the view from up there will always be better.

In this ladder, on a step promising discovery and adventure, we found Sara and Hugo, first-time parents, with anxiety to meet Camila that was still only a belly.

We love to photograph new projects, good ideas, talent.
But we always give to the brands the priority of showing everything firsthand and to present the collections in the first person.
Around here, we only raise a tip of the veil and, in most cases, we ended up never showing everything.

The truth is that the website has been forgotten amidst the hustle and bustle of the busiest months of the year, and when we realize there are so many things left to show.

Perhaps memories are like a good wine and all that time can do for it, refining the taste, straightening the body.
The time not only steals us from things to do, to say, to see but also gives us this strange feeling that we have already lived so much, done so much, said so much, seen so much.

The images that we bring today are not from today, not from yesterday, or even from a few months ago.
It's been over a year now, the smiles are different, the stories are more complete and, with the arrival of Afonso, certainly much more happier.

The silence around here is inversely proportional to the noisy movement of the gears that move this stories machine.
We continue, relentlessly, telling stories and remembering, gradually, many others. And are the stories that leverage the machine and oil it, in enthusiasm and inspiration, to each new challenge.

On this day we told a chapter of Leonor's story and counted with an unexpected tenderness, a sweetness that surprised us and such a pretty eyes filled with world and sea.

Vicente celebrated one year old.
And time took its own course: it went by, fast!

Countless stories followed, we delighted ourselves with smiles that do not fit on the face, witnessed again and again the miracle of life and the power of love. We live, after all, unique, special, magical moments. So many!
Time, fast, was short so that we could show more here but, behind the scenes, the work doesn't stop.

We waited so long for this day.

Life, cramps, mismatches, made this meeting being scheduled and rescheduled to exhaustion, but we knew it would be when it had to be in the place which was destined.
Even at a distance of an adventure that took them some many kilometers away from us, this day was intended to be, and there was nothing to doubt about.

Rommel lives in America, but it was here that he met Filipa.
And so life ordained that an entire ocean wasn't enough to mess with destiny and to keep apart what only makes sense together.

It was at Cais das Colunas that they gave their first kiss of many others to come and to be exchanged on one side and the other of the ocean, in a well-synchronized ping-pong game that brings them together until today.
It was at Praça do Comércio that Rommel surprised Filipa arriving ahead of schedule.
And was the Cais das Colunas the place chosen for the proposal.

If there's one thing we like to shoot and that crosses all sessions is this mind-blowing feeling, the magic, the butterflies in the stomach, this "everything" that doesn't fit on one only word.

To speak of love is to reduce this overwhelmingly large "everything" to a tiny word, two syllables that seem insignificant, disproportionately small, incomparably poor.

We know that when this "everything" is there, nothing more is needed.
No props or costumes can recreate this "everything" at all or even get closer to it.

Each session brings different emotions.
A little nervousness is always present hand in hand with the butterflies in the stomach, it may be the burden of responsibility to keep your best moments, maybe that's what makes it all makes sense.
On the day that it isn't so and that calm takes hold of us, then it is because the way is no longer this one and it might be better to re-orient the compass and give new coordinates to GPS.
But I fear that that day will never come... I fear that everything else, which is everything, is so tremendously bigger, stronger, overwhelming, able to send the nerves away.

We ended a busy week with a golden key.
We met Francisca and her family, a family that came from far away, maybe from the land where dreams live.
From a distance they prepared an unforgettable evening for their family and friends who wanted to be present.

The adventure started at Sé de Lisboa where we have disputed flashes with lots of tourists that also passed by.
Francisca walked from lap to lap, always in good mood, eyes with a color blending the sky and the sea from whom sees beyond the world. The tantrum only came later, in the absence of the feeding bottle and as the belly complained about the warmth of a content.
