Your wedding day is a day full of emotions, nerves on the edge, shivers down the spine ...
Like you, we too feel and experience different emotions and we, with all our strength, want it to be one of the most special and exciting days of all time.
But not always everything happens according to plans.
It is important to know that there is, often, a parallel script, the fate's script perhaps, and yet it can still be incredibly perfect.
After our first session in collaboration with Flytographer, after all the excitement that was shooting a wedding proposal live and in color, nothing more exciting could happen to us than shooting a new photoshoot... on the next day... another wedding proposal... live and in colors!
Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale!
Less than twenty-four hours after all the adrenaline we felt for give everything we could on an incredible wedding proposal, we were back in action with more adrenaline, more excitement, more doubts, but always with the certainty that we would witness an unique and unrepeatable moment!
The adventure of being part of an incredible team, full of talented colleagues spread across the world, began two years ago.
The proposal came and after one and another talk, we aligned our compasses for what I believe to be an amazing partnership.
This was our first Flytographer photoshoot!
And we started with a live wedding proposal, pretending to be tourists interested in photographing everything and a pair of boots until the proposal... "the" proposal!
When I was a kid I always had an agenda on which, strangely, test dates or most relevant events dates were not included, but that worked as a mix of a diary and a repository of happy times.
I kept tickets from places I've visited, notes shared with schoolmates... I remember that there was whom drawed or wrote on my agenda by request, a kind of dedication or just a " please draw here" just because.
I collected happy moments in the naivety and innocence of those who only live and breath and don’t need more than that.
Following a gray day, there is always a sunny day.
Sometimes one or another gray is added, but the sun never disappoints.
And today there is sun, even if it is only within us, recalling these moments that rocked us by the photoshoot rhythm.
And we know, for sure, that these two little children are missed in size, not only by the parents, ruffled, the best ones, but also by us that always take advantage of a tantrum, a battery to swap or any other excuse to cuddle and give lap.
Perhaps the idea of waking up on a sunday at 5:30 am to go to work doesn't seem, at a first glance, the most fantastic idea we had.
Perhaps waking up on a sunday at 5:30 am, after arriving from holidays on the day before, a sunny saturday when we returned from a snow trip and were amazed by the streets of Barcelona, between tapas and alleys, wasn't at all, the more attractive idea.
But not always everything is as it seems and, indeed, the enthusiasm won the sleepness and fatigue and Cascais received us with open arms and straight lines where we write another love story.
Although the cold lingered in the shadows, the sun sooner turned shade into light and warmed us.
This week we changed our window view.
Ones with the sliding-down-the-mountain excitement, others losing their sight uphill.
Some indulge in the adventure and to the more or less ostentatious falls, I surrender myself to the silence of the mountain, the immensity that crushes and overwhelms us without even touch.
There may be fun and noise, but there are also peace and quiet in the nooks where the snow lives until the sun, landlord that never fails, make it taste a little bit of the adrenaline of losing fear, gaining speed and go down the hill.
We got lost counting the time that passed by since this day with a suspicious sure that it may have been yesterday, even yesterday.
This story has already new chapters that include sleepless nights, diapers and the victory of the first words or the first steps, but now, and as time passes, the more will we have to rummaging through the archives and to revive the memory.
There are weddings that we will never forget, but the months that follow, of flirting and enchantment are not anything behind from the excitement and emotion of the "yes, I do".
Once upon a time a love story. And very little can we add to this.
This is it. Just this. So this.
We are truly stories addicted, to hear them, to read them, to tell them... but everytime we become more and more involved with the characters and bring them to our own story. There are brides and grooms that become friends, families that we see growing and are already, almost, our own family.
We've already done a marathon so that a groom wouldn't came barefoot, we held nerve tears when life took the friendly shoulder where they should be deposited, we gave our lap, we laughed (a lot), we cried, we get lost in time savoring each image but even more sharing ideas and what of most precious we have: life.
Weekends have, around here, a different flavor.
There is in the air a mixed feeling of weekend, walks on the beach, blanket on the couch, movie and books afternoons that fades out for being clearly known that is on the weekends that we have a largest number of photoshoots.
Come hell or high water (St. Peter if you can hear us, please give us a little bit of sun!) we spend most of our weekends telling stories, filling our eyes and soul with wonderful families, children who we want to bring home at the end of the photoshoot and lots of love, in all and in its many forms.
For many forms of love that there may be, love will always be love, equal, no color or belief, whole, sweeping. A larger force that moves us by someone or something, that can't be seen, that we cannot shake hands with but that makes a dent in the heart.
And Rome (Roma) is that... amoR (love), read backwards!
A city that we love from the first minute, the colors, the smells, the sun that emerges in the heart of winter, the people, the language that sounds like music... and how easy it is to fall in love with Rome. Every street, every corner, the cafés, the people... and how empty it feels for the impossibility of, in any way, bring with us a bit of everything, sure however, that a part of us was left there.
A city so different from ours Lisbon, and yet so similar in the ways of love.
We are far away, but close and this is the advantage of a photography: we can always carry with us memories of unrepeatable moments, crisp and in colors, so they can live with us far beyond the lived moment.
This photo shoot is old.
Camila is now bigger, restless, challenging us to play and mischief, but remains determined as the day that we met her.
For us, in this moment we remember today, Camilla remains like so, tiny, helpless, frozen in a little bit of time, well beyond oblivion.
A tiny and delicate baby, who we just wanted to have in our lap and to contemplate at every breath.
It was a difficult photoshoot, it really was, but it really worth it at all. Because today, already grown up but forever a baby to everyone who takes care of her, she can also review and know herself so tiny, a memory that she would never have access if there weren't these images.
And what better testimony of love, ties and affections can we leave to our children than a legacy of memories and moments that will prevail forever in the heart of the family?
Today we remember, with longing, Camila when she was still so tiny.
Like this, far away, but always so close!
And are or aren't these good memories?
Today we would like sun, the warm breeze of summer days, the late sunset, the smell of pine trees and picnic.
We would like moments like this again, easy and so perfect in its imperfect simplicity.
We love this family far beyond their hair color!
It's always so different and always so special and it is, for us, even more precious to have known Matilde when she was still so little and now see her growing, breaking the world, snatching hearts and spreading her magic wherever she goes.
And so, but even so much more precious to meet a belly full of light and life and see the magic of life, of the world and all that we are happening.
There is now a little brother who took the place of the dolls, who already made us melt and who also brought in his hair color more color to the world.
There is no poetry that speaks friendship.
And the words, few, escape in the senses.
Although with faltering steps in the uncertainty the way, in something we must be complying with life, because there is always a light that tell us we are in the right place and a sense of gratitude that floods us.
I thought that maybe friends born and grow with us and there were no later friends to add to the oldest ones, oldest but never old, friends from other times.
After all there are friends that are late, particularly in the absence they left even before they even existed.
We always open the door of a charming bubble each time we welcome a new life, through images.
Shooting in studio allows us to have the perfect light, the perfect setting, the best of the frameworks, but the imperfection of the perfect feelings is well captured like so, in a calm and relaxed atmosphere in which even the walls yearn to come to life and be part.
Already many days were added up to the two years, there are already more years in these two years, but this day remains so, engraved in memory and in some pictures that will bring it crystal clear until the day we want to remember it.
It was a super mini photoshoot, which between one day and another ended up being booked on the day thatthe two years were completed. A day of celebration and play, shared with family and friends and that culminated in this session. A kind of icing on the cake, but with a very special flavor.
Maybe because we live in a winter doubt, between days that look like spring and the rain that insists on appearing and pushes them away, perhaps because the will to forget the feet in the sand and lose sight at the sea is too strong, or perhaps because as time passes by more wistful we become from the happy moments we lived.
The truth is that today we also return to a blue sky and sunny day.
Although the rain has made us hold our breaths for a few hours and rushed some last-picking decisions, the truth is that the sun came out and stood for the party.
If someone asked you exactly what did you did one or another day, the more likely is that you didn't really remember it at all.
Except for one or two more special days with events that we keep for life, the other days end up succeeding at a breakneck speed and we became unsure about which day we saw the best sunset or which one we laid on the floor giving shape to the clouds.
